Overall feelings about the race: This being my first time in a national race where all the runners are seriously talented athletes, I was pretty happy with my race went. I would have liked to move up more in the last mile and pass some more competitors, but just taking in the whole racing experience and knowing what it's like to race with competitors of that caliber was really rewarding. Today's race makes me want to come back next year and improve my time and place, because I'll have experience on the course.
Best part of the race:  The best part of my race was kicking into the finishing shoot and passing a small pack of girls at the end. Finishing knowing that I gave it my all so many races this season and that I was able to get to Footlocker Nationals and be in the mix here was just the best feeling.
The FLCC Experience:  The Foot Locker experience has been truly amazing. Footlocker has it all; I feel so fortunate to be able to stay in to such a beautiful hotel in San Diego, meet some of the sport's most elite athletes, and become friends with some of the other top High School athletes in the nation. Racing against so many other athletes who are all so talented and committed to the sport has really opened my eyes and made me realize that I still have so much to learn as a racer, and as a runner overall. I am sure that this experience will make me a more confident competitor in the future and I would absolutely love to come back to this race next year.

Personal note:  I want to thank my family and my coaches for being so supportive, loving, and enthusiatstic. I certainly would not be running today if it wasn't for my mom, and my whole family has been instrumental in my success as they've always shown me so much support while also being honest. My coaches are as passionate about racing as I am and push me to be the best I can possibly be.
