Overall feelings about the race: We'll, I've had a stress fracture in my right fibula for about a month leading up to this race and I figured I would give it one more shot since it was my last high school cross country race and on the biggest stage I'd ever ran on. However it turned out not to be my day as I dropped out of the race 1.5 miles in due to my stress fracture. The race was still an amazing experience and a day I'll remember forever.
Best part of the race:  The best part of the race in my mind was the introductions, listening to all of the state champions and course record holders in this race made me truly realize this was the most elite field in the country. Being listed with all of these guys gave me a feeling a can't describe.
The FLCC Experience:  Having battled setbacks and overcoming adversity the whole season, this weekend has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've met so many amazing people and gotten to know guys that I'm sure I'll continue to race all through college and hopefully after.

Personal note:  I want to thank my coach Kyle Walsh for mentoring me in life and running, my parents for supporting me through everything, and all of the runners back in Indiana who have supported me like no other over my high school career. I wouldn't be here without all of the people I've met along the way and they've made me love this sport for what it is.
