2012 State Champion in Divison 3a in Iowa. With a record of 13:51 4k the fifth fastest time ever ran at the state championships.

Hobbies: Hanging with my friends and family, signing, playing my saxophone, mentoring special needs youth, and working at Eckers Flowers as a florist .

Most influential person: Tim ward, he is a six year old I work with who has autism. He inspires me everyday I work with him.

Overall feelings about the race: My race went really well. I had a pr by 50 seconds to get into footlocker placing 6th in my region. I was thrilled when i qualified and just wanted to do my best. I was worried becuase I had some IT band problems and had to take four days off last week. Honestly,it was probably a blessing.I worked really hard and moved up to 7th place at the end of the race. I took the first mile out slower and just started picking of the girls.
Best part of the race:  Crossing the line earning all american honors
The FLCC Experience:  This experience has been amazing. I feel Pr'ed by a minute to get in and was truely the underdog going into the race. I wasnt a "big name" or ranked high in the country. I went in and put my head down and went to work. Meeting everyone has been amazing I have had such a fun experience. BEST WEEKEND EVER!

Personal note:  Thanks for always believing in me, and with christ all things are possible. Dreams do come true, today is an example of a drem come true.
