Overall feelings about the race: The race went pretty good. I went out fast but somewhat relaxed. Charged up the hill and tried picking off people as much as possible. On the beginning of the second lap I started to feel quite tired and some negative thoughts were coming to my mind but I kept saying this quote, "I breathe, I run, I win," and that helped a lot. Saying the quote helped me stay relaxed and gave me a boost of energy. Especially since 3 or 4 west runners were near me. I felt tired up the hill but then used the downhill to regain my energy somewhat. I tried moving hard and quick to the finish after the downhill but finished 14th and I am proud of that. All-American as a Sophomore is pretty sweet if you ask me.
Best part of the race:  Best part of the race was probably the middle of it because that is when I made a move and picked off many people.
The FLCC Experience:  The footlocker experiance has been amazing. We've been treated like Kings and Queens. Somewhat haha. But no, the rooms are pretty nice. Your in this classy hotel on the beach and its great. Especially since its in Southern California where its warm. Unlike home, its chilly and is snowing at the moment. The food is awesome here. Great food and I can't get enough of it. Other then that, getting issued free gear is sweet too and just hanging out with the best runners in the nation is something special. You get to know people from states far away and I find that cool.

Personal note:  Just want to thank all my friends and family for all the support and believing in what I do. I appreciate it and I couldn't do it without any of you. Having that support is key because it makes you feel good about yourself knowing that other people are watching/complimenting at what you do. Especially since I've worked so hard to get here at Footlocker. Thanks.
