Overall feelings about the race: I tried to run my own race from the start so I wasn't surprised when I came through the mile in the middle of the pack. The second loop was about picking people off and using the hills to my advantage. I was happy to finish my season placing 9th at nationals and I can't wait to get on the track this spring.
Best part of the race:  I knew that the last mile would be brutal for the whole field so I worked it as hard as I could. Crossing the finish line was an unparalled experience; making it here was satisfying but coming in the top 10 was the plan from the moment I got in San Diego.
The FLCC Experience:  It was great to meet some of the athletes that I'll be racing against (and possibly alongside) next year. I got to meet and get to know some of the greatest professional runners in the country as well, very motivational people. I am extremely thankful to everyone who made this event happen. I feel truly blessed.

Personal note:  I really couldn't do it without the support of my family and my coach Rod Berry. My friends are wierd but I love them. All these people are totally radical. The Lord is good to me.
